Garrettisms

"Daddy come in here and help us"

"Am I the ONLY one who can help, can't Mommy?

"Daddy I need you, you're a strong buck"
--------------------------------------------------
"Garrett, what do you want to be for Halloween this year"
"A really big elephant"

Not sure how to pull that one off.
------------------------------------------------------
Garrett, The Negotiator

Garrett is still potty training, and I have to ask him like 40 times a day if he has to go potty. He usually says no, but when he really does need to go he says "so, what do I get?" I usually say, a piece of candy or a sticker. Then he will proceed with the negotiation.

"I would like to go to the park and I would like chocolate milk"

Smart kid.

-----------------------------------------------------

The days I have to go to work, Garrett get really mad.

He said to me a few weeks ago.

"Mommy, Daddy goes to work so you don't have to"

Children are so simple and sweet. I adore it.

Nose Attack

Watch out she likes to attack noses! She is too cute!

Lily's New Moves

She is using anything she can find to stand up. The dishwasher, the piano, the coffee table, me, the dog, her brother. She is such a little mover.

All Dressed Up and Ready for Church

My attempt to get a picture with Lily

Hey, blue eyes!

I have been posting tons of pics of Lily lately, mainly because the ones of Garrett are of him running from the camera, so while Garrett is being a little camera shy Lily is proud to fill in...plus she is just so darn cute!

Lily in the Raw

No bows, no frills, just pure cuteness! She is a water baby through and through!

Sleepy Head

Isn't it amazing how a three-year old can act so crazy and wild when awake, then when asleep they are like little perfect angels. I guess God gives us these moments so we can take a deep breath and remember just how stinkin' cute and lovable they are.

Ham Sandwich

Lily loves posing for the camera, she is such a ham! That's why I call her my little ham sandwich.

Lovin' the Sweet Potatoes

We have been introducing baby food to Lily, so far she will eat nothing but sweet potatoes. No fruit, no rice cereal, no oatmeal...just sweet potatoes.

Hey check out that cute bib she is wearing! My friend Amiee made it, she is so talented. She even embroidered her name one it! Thanks Amiee!

Playmates

I love how Garrett and Lily are at the stage now to play together. They are so funny to watch. Garrett always knows how to make her laugh. Lily is also advancing with her small motor skills, I had to take a picture of her playing with her baby toys, Garrett likes them too!

Notice the red knees from crawling all over the place. This kid is always on the go:)

Family Pictures ala Kiwi

Thank you Kiwi for the photo session! I wish Garrett was a little more cooperative, but when what do you expect from a hungry three year old, right!

Happy Birthday and Mother's Day

We had a fun-filled weekend celebrating my birthday and Mother's Day. It started off on Thursday going to SLO for some family pictures and enjoying the Farmer's Market. We purchased all our fresh fruits and vegetables for the week at the market and was able to have Firestone's...my favorite! If you haven't eaten at Firestone's you should add it to your "top 10 places to visit in my lifetime" list.

Friday, my birthday, we spent the day just doing errands and then went to another favorite restaurant, Giuseppe's in Pismo Beach with some friends.

Saturday, we headed up to San Simeon State Park and took the family camping. After we set-up camp we drove about 17 miles up Hwy 1 to the Salmon Creek Trail Head, just passed Ragged Point. We hiked to a waterfall that was so beautiful. Lily was in her carrier and Garrett was on daddy's shoulders. We also stopped by to see the elephant seals, thousands of them laying out on the beach. Afterward, we went back to camp and roasted marshmallows and watched Garrett climb trees and dance to Jack Johnson, he is so silly.

The next morning we hiked over to the beach and the boys though rocks while the girls took pictures. Then drive north to the San Simeon State Beach and had a picnic and played in the sand and water with the kiddos.

It was a perfect weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there!
